We collect your email address, phone number, and appointment search preferences (location, date range, province) when you create a scan alert. If you purchase a Credit or Priority Pass, Stripe processes payment. We receive only a customer ID and tier status, never your card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your contact details are used solely to send appointment availability alerts via SMS (Twilio) and email (Resend). We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except the service providers required to operate the platform (Twilio, Resend, Stripe).
3. Third-Party Services
Twilio: SMS delivery. Your phone number is transmitted to Twilio to send alert messages. Resend: Email delivery. Your email address is transmitted to Resend to send alert messages. Stripe: Payment processing. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers.
4. Data Retention
Active scan data is retained while your scan is active. Free tier scans expire after 30 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@labnab.ca.
5. Canadian Privacy Law
LabNab operates in Canada and handles personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Users in BC are also protected under BC's PIPA.
LabNab monitors the LifeLabs myCompass appointment booking system and sends notifications when appointment slots matching your criteria become available. LabNab is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Ltd.
2. No Guarantee of Availability
LabNab does not guarantee that appointment slots will become available during your selected date range or at your selected location. Alerts are sent only when slots are detected. We are not responsible for slots that fill before you can book, or for changes to the LifeLabs booking system that affect our ability to monitor availability.
3. Payments and Refunds
Credits are non-refundable once purchased but never expire. A credit is consumed when a scan is created. Priority Pass subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period with no prorated refunds for partial months. All payments are processed securely by Stripe.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use LabNab only to monitor appointment availability for your own personal use. You will not attempt to automate bookings, resell alerts, or use the service in any way that violates LifeLabs' terms of service or applicable law.
5. Service Availability
We aim to keep LabNab running continuously but do not guarantee uptime. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. If we discontinue the service, unused credits will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
6. Limitation of Liability
LabNab is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, we are not liable for any missed appointments, health outcomes, or damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Disputes will be resolved in BC courts.
